Technique Workshops

Orientation - Cost $5 (Required for all beginners)
This is a necessary prerequisite for any of our beginner classes. If you have never taken a class and are new to the quiiting world or you just need to brush up on your cutting skills this is the class for you. Learn all about the rotary cutter, mat and ruler. Practice before your class starts so your comfortable cutting fabric. Also enjoy 30% off any rotary cutter, mat and long ruler (new students only).

Painting & Dying Fabric - Cost $18 + supplies
Learn to design your own fabric using the gradation dying technique and painting with Shiva's new oil based paint sticks. You'll be using rubbing plates, stamps and templates. No sewing skills required, just bring your old clothes and your imagination

Kwik Krazy Quilting - Cost $18 + supplies
A freezer paper pattern, stack once and cut. No measuring, no templates. A very neat and easy technique to a traditional crazy quilting block.

Quiltsmart's Black Eyed Susan - Cost $18 + supplies
Quiltsmart is known for its super simple technique using their pre-printed fusible interfacing panels to create traditionally challenging blocks. Making curves using this technique is actually fun, plus this pattern is gorgeous. Once you use Quiltsmart's product you'll be hooked! Great class for the beginner, or for the expert quilter who wants to try something new.

Hand Embroidery Basics - Cost $18 (includes kit)
Per your request, this is the class you've been waiting for! You will learn all the basic embroidery stitches beginning with the back stitch, blanket stitch and moving onto the French knot, satin stitch and feather stitch. Plus learn about various threads, needles, and other useful tools from an expert, knowledge you can't always learn in a book.

Borders Basics Series - Cost $18 + supplies
If your tired of making the same basic strip pieced borders and want to learn something new, then this is the series for you. Choose a border class: Flying Geese, Scallops, Half Square Triangles or Prairie Points. Take one or take them all! Some quilting experience helpful.

Wool Roving & Needle Felting 101 - Cost $25 (includes kit)
Its all the rage, and better yet its fun and creative. You'll learn what roving is, what tools you'll need and you'll even leave with a finished adorable cherry cell phone or glasses case.
